Many of you will have seen the new raised beds that we have set up in the park. This is part of our latest lottery funded project “Pop – up – Allotments”.
There will be 8 of these beds in all and we hope that those of you who may have “green fingered” tendancies will take advantage of this opportunity. These are free to anyone who wishes to grow some of their own produce, whether it is fruit or vegetables. These are intended for anyone in the community to try their hand at producing their own food. We would suggestthat if you plant anything, please label it clearly. The planters will be on site for at least a year, hopefully longer depending on their use.
Anyone who needs some help or advice is welcome to contact us or, pop in to see the volunteer gardeners at work, any Monday between 10am and 3pm.
