Dear friends.
It is with regret that we must inform you that this year, there will be no officially organised “Act of Remembrance” at the Devonport War Memorial in the Park.
The current restrictions and guidelines around the Covid19 pandemic means that we would be unable to ensure adequate social distancing.
This commemoration has over the past few years, seen attendances steadily grow, which is a testament to it’s growing importance to the public. However, the limited space available would make it very difficult for everyone to stay safe.
Obviously, many organisations, including ourselves, will be sending individualsd to lay a wreath on their behalf at around 11am, and we will ensure that social distancing is observed.
For those of you who wish to lay your own tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, feel free to do so but, please adhere to the current Government guidelines.
We will Remember Them
